Addressed to: People from the theater of animated forms, theater, performing arts, literature, visual and audiovisual arts. No prior experience is necessary. Program In this workshop, we will talk about the bodies of dolls and, specifically, how these bodies can generate ways of speaking. In general, we could say that this studio will revolve around the relationship between the scenic image, words and actions. Conference: Body, scale, materials and other dramaturgy themes for puppets Duration: 30 minutes 12 years ago, Javier Swedzky started giving dramaturgy workshops for puppets and objects. The pedagogical situation made him reflect on some elements that, for him, are constitutive of the poetics of writing for puppets, whether written or scenic dramaturgy. In this conference, he will take a look at some of these provocative ideas.
about Javier Swedzky
Starts doing theater in Córdoba with Graciela Ferrari (from the LTL group directed by María Escudero). Study cinema; puppets at ESNAM Charleville-Mézières, France, and theater pedagogy at the Univ. Paris III. He works for “El Periférico de Objetos” and with Marie Vayssières (actress and assistant to Tadeusz Kantor). He writes, acts, interprets and directs works for children and adults with puppets, objects and acting. He presents his works and gives training in Argentina and abroad. Develops the Companhia ao Pé da Cama project at Garrahan Hospital. Currently teaching Dramaturgy for object theater in the Specialization in Object Theatre, Interactivity and New Media at the National University of Arts, UNA, Buenos Aires; and is co-director of the Degree in Performing Arts and coordinates the Focus on Puppet Theater and Objects at the School of Art and Heritage, National University of San Martín, Bs As.
